Homeowners Association Information
You may want to consider the following when buying or renting in an HOA community: What are the schools (Elementary, Jr. High & High Schools) like in the area? What are the reserve funds and budgets for the HOA? What are the parking rules and policies for HOA occupants and guests. What are the owner occupancy and/or rental restriction rules? Are there any special assessments on the horizon? What are the types of insurance coverage included in the HOA fees/dues? Are there any pet policies or restrictions in the community? Also, you may want to ask about any kind of HOA litigation or pending litigation because this may effect your decision to buy or not buy in the community.
You may want to research the HOA documents, disclosures, CCR and rules & regulations, which are located on this website. Once you move into your community you may want to become an active board member and attend meetings, etc.
